Luna’s story
Imagined by Android Jones and built by an international community of like-minded romantics and makers, Luna the Artcrane made its debut at Burning Man 2022. Our community gathered around a simple vision: to contribute an artcar that represents the feminine, that is accessible to all, and becomes a flexible platform for co-creation. And so this elegant beauty was built on top of a full-sized construction crane, providing ample creative opportunity to lift, swing or drape and collaborate with a broad spectrum of artists and visionaries. Experience Luna
As the sun sets on playa, Luna rises. Standing tall, she is a shining beacon across the night sky that can be seen from far and wide, guiding us and calling us home.
Luna invites us to find flow in impermanence, lean into our softness, and connect to our collective poetry. In her warm light, we are safe to dance, howl, dream and revel.

A powerful symbol
Luna is the goddess of the night and ruler of our dreams. Under the dark cape of a starlit sky, she reveals our inner creative universe where we give birth to new ideas and new versions of ourselves. In her wisdom, she models for us non-attachment and transformation through her repetitive cycles of becoming and un-becoming, creation and destruction, birth and death. Within her exist a potent duality, a coexistence of both dark and light, which offers us a safe space to play, explore our full selves, and unleash new inner power.
Though she is small, she is powerful — her force pushing and pulling, waxing and waning, spawning and directing life on earth, our souls and spirits. We move with her phases, we dream in her light, and are re-born as she moves through us.
